Pathways to Justice
To educate and empower young people of color to understand, challenge, and transform the systems that impact their lives. Through interactive learning and creative expression, participants will explore the roots of inequality while developing the confidence and leadership skills to build a more just future.
Pathways to Justice is designed to help youth confront critical social issues such as (but not limited to) the school-to-prison pipeline, post-traumatic slave syndrome, and racial discrimination. Through hands-on community projects, workshops, and guest speaker sessions, participants gain real-world insight into the forces that shape inequity and learn how to actively respond to them.
The program takes place in an interactive, discussion-based setting that blends education with movement-building. Youth engage in conversation, research, and creative expression including art, writing, and discussion, to process and share their understanding of justice in their own voices.
Through partnerships with schools, youth justice coalitions, and local community organizers, Standing in Parallel creates a bridge between learning and action.

Pathways to Justice is rooted in Standing in Parallels belief that true healing and empowerment come not only from within, but also from transforming the systems around us. By helping youth understand the relationship between personal healing and social change, this program equips the next generation of leaders to stand in parallel with their communities — grounded, informed, and ready to lead with purpose and compassion.
